Footmaxx Custom Foot Orthotics
We only dispense genuine custom Footmaxx orthotics. Usually a prescription from a medical doctor is required for re-imbursement from most private health insurance companies (like Greenshield, Great West Life, Manulife, etc). Turn around time is usually about one week from the date the orthotics are ordered. Orthotics can be made through the 2 dimensional force plate OR through 3 dimensional foam casting, depending on patient preference and insurance company requirements. The 3-dimensional option conforms to NEW (January 1st, 2014) regulations with Greenshield.
Sigvaris Compression Stockings
We only dispense Sigvaris Compression Stockings. Compression stockings are used to manage a wide variety of conditions through graduated compression. These conditions include: tired/achy legs, swelling, varicose veins, pregnancy, and more... Most insurance companies cover the cost of the compression stockings.
TENS Machines
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a non-invasive, drug-free method of controlling pain. Tiny electrical impulses are sent through the skin, reaching cutaneous nerves, resulting in altered perception of pain. In most patients, TENS is effective for reducing or even eliminating pain, thus allowing for return to normal activity. TENS machines are used for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic pain, adjunctive treatment for post surgical pain or acute pain following injury.
